Abstract: The development of laser trapping and cooling techniques provides a clean and tunable platform to study the quantum properties of low temperature condensed matter systems. In recent years, effective synthetic gauge potential is successfully realized in these neutral systems. I will give a short introduction of cold atom techniques and synthetic gauge potential in this talk.
