Abstract: Entanglement is by far the most famous and best studied kind of quantum correlation, and leads to powerful applications. Another kind of correlation, quantum discord, drawed much attention recently. Quantum discord captures more correlations than entanglement in the sense that separable states may also possess nonzero quantum discord. In this seminar, I briefly present some (not all) progress about the analytical expressions of different kinds of quantum discord. Global quantum discord (GQD) and geometric global quantum discord (GGQD) are emphasized.
