Error Estimates and Superconvergence of Mixed Finite Element Methods for Bilinear Optimal Control Problems

Abstract: In this work, we investigate error estimates and superconvergence of the bilinear elliptic optimal control problems by Raviart-Thomas mixed finite element methods. The control variable enters the state equation as a coefficient. The state and the co-state variables are approximated by Raviart-Thomas mixed finite element spaces and the control variable is approximated by piecewise linear or constant functions. We obtain a prioti and a posteriori error estimates for the control variable and coupled state variable. Finally, we obtain the superconvergence property between average L^2 projection and the approximation of the control variable, the convergence order is h^2.
 
报告人简介: 陈艳萍教授, 女, 博士生导师, 广东省高等学校“珠江学者”特聘教授, 现为任职于华南师范大学数学科学学院。1982年毕业于湘潭大学数学系, 1988年获湘潭大学计算数学理学硕士学位, 1997年获山东大学计算数学理学博士学位, 同年在南京大学做博士后研究工作, 1999年评为教授, 2001年评为博士生导师。在长期的科研教学工作中, 主要从事混合有限元高效率及高精度算法、多孔介质渗流驱动问题数值方法、奇异摄动问题的自适应移动网格方法、最优控制问题混合元自适应计算等研究工作。
