Abstract: If Nature chose carbon as the scaffolding of life, then mankind chose silicon as the building block of much of the high-technology of today. As two fundamental elements in nature, carbon and silicon are closely related to the survival and development of human beings. People have focused on the studies of novle carbon or silicon materials，which promotes social and economic development. In this talk, I will show our recent studies on C/Si nanosystems and new C/Si polymorphs.
