Stereodynamics of Collision Reactions between Atoms and Molecules

Speaker: Dr. Xian-Fang Yue, Beijing Computational Science Research Center

Abstract: Molecular dynamics has made exciting progress with the advance in molecular beam and laser spectroscopic techniques, as well as in theoretical methodology and computer capacity in the past decades. The key to understanding the elementary reaction dynamics is to ascertain the interaction between state-of-the-art theory and experiments. In the present talk, I will present the quasi-classical trajectory method used to study the stereodynamics of collision reactions between atoms and molecules. Some computational results will also be provided for several collision systems.
