Summary of Recent Reading on Tensor Decomposition and Tensor Equation

Speaker: Dr. Zhen Chen, Beijing Computational Science Research Center

Abstract: A tensor is a multidimensional array. Tensor decompositions originated with Hitchcock in 1927. In the last ten years, interest in tensor decompositions has expanded to other fields. Examples include signal processing, numerical linear algebra, computer vision, numerical analysis, and more. In this talk, I will give a short introduction to the tensor decomposition and tensor equation. Several relevant problems will be listed as the end of the talk.
