During April 4-9, 2014. Workshop on Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (2014) was successfully held in Beijing Computational Science Research Center. This Workshop mainly discussed the frontiers of quantum optics and quantum information, such as Quantum Computation and Quantum Metrology based on Solid Spin System,Room-temperature ultra-sensitive mass spectrometer via dynamic decoupling.
Many famous experts, professors, postdocs and students taken active part in this workshop. The Nobel Prize winner Roy Glauber also was invited to this workshop, he gave a talk about his early research period and described what he had seen and heard when he was a member of the Manhattan Project.
After more than 20 wonderful oral talks, the director of Beijing Computational Science Research Center Prof. Lin Haiqing gave the closing statement, he thanked everyone for coming and introduced the actuality and blueprint of Beijing Computational Science Research Center. The workshop successfully provides a platform of academic communication in discussing the recent quantum optics and quantum information problems and latest progress.
