During Apr 26-28, 2015, the 2nd International Workshop on Frontiers in Quantum Optics and Quantum Information: Celebration of the International Year of Light (QOQI2015) was successfully held at Beijing Computational Science Research Center.

The International Year of Light (IYL) in 2015 is a unique opportunity to celebrate and widen the appreciation of enormous contributions of optics to science, technology and culture. Nearly 80 participants attended this international meeting, including famous quantum-optics scientists, Prof. Marlan O. Scully, Prof. G. S. Agarwal, and Prof. M. Suhail Zubairy.

During the three-day workshop, there were 26 talks and 15 posters. This workshop successfully provided an academic platform for discussing light through its many applications to medicine, communications, entertainment, and culture.
