On June 22, 2016, a collaborative agreement was signed between Beijing Computational Science Research Center (CSRC) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Prof. Wei Shyy (the Executive Vice-President and Provost), together with Prof. Yang Wang (Chair of Math. Department), Prof. Xiaoping Wang and Prof. Tiezhen Qian from HKUST visited CSRC. Prof. Hai-Qing Lin, the Director of CSRC, along with Division Heads of CSRC warmly welcomed the visiting guests and had a friendly discussion with them.
Both parties agree to strengthen broad research collaborations in postdoc joint supervision, PhD student mentoring, bilateral faculty and researcher exchange and computing facilities sharing, especially in the fields of mathematics, physics and computational science.
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is a public research university in Clear Water Bay Peninsula, Hong Kong. Established in 1991, it is the territory's youngest higher learning institution with no precursory existence. The university consists of four disciplinary schools, which offer degrees in business and management, engineering, science, and humanities and social science, alongside the Interdisciplinary Programs Office, which provides cross-disciplinary programs, and Fok Ying Tung Graduate School/Fok Ying Tung Research Institute, which promotes technology transfer and commercialization.
