Postdoctoral Fellow Positions at the Mechanics Division
PI: Prof. Yang Ding (CSRC)
Project Title: Applications of artificial neural networks to the coarse-grained models of fluid and granular media
Project Description: Artificial neural networks (ANNs) have shown to be useful in describing unknown complex functions from a large amount of data. We aim to utilize (ANNs) to generate fast and accurate coarse-grained models of fluid and granular media. Particularly, we will implement ANNs with physics principles embedded and use current numerical methods such Lattice Boltzmann Method as templates for the reduced.
Number of Position: 1-2 postdoctoral position is available.
Requirements: The candidate should have a Ph.D. in physics, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Experience in numerical simulation of fluid and granular media and machine learning is desirable. The candidate should be proficient in speaking and writing English. Applications, including detailed curriculum vitae, list of publications, and at least two letters of recommendation, should be sent directly to dingyang@csrc.ac.cn.
PI: Prof. Shujie Li (CSRC)
