Forum on Numerical Methods for Computing Interfacial Phenomena
June 7, 2019
Beijing Computational Science Research Center
Multiphase fluid flows and interfacial phenomena are ubiquitous in nature and industrial processes. There have been a host of modeling and computational approaches to simulate those phenomena. Phase field modeling and simulation approach has emerged as one of the popular one in recent years. It is simple, easy-to-implement and capable of carrying rich interfacial physics in the model formulation. Numerically, advances on structure preserving algorithms have been made in the field recently. This forum invites two teams of experts in the very research field from Xiamen University, University of Science and Technology, Shandong University and Beijing Computational Science and Technology to discuss the new development in this field and future development in the exciting field in computational mathematics.
