1st International Workshop on Frontiers in Biomechanics and
Bio-Inspired Robotics
Date&Time: July 27-31, 2020
Zoom ID: 826 9094 2701
1st International Workshop on Frontiers in Biomechanics and
Bio-Inspired Robotics
International workshop on Frontiers in biomechanics and bio-inspired robotics, which will be held at Beijing Computational Science Research Center, Beijing (CSRC), China. The workshop is jointly organized by Beijing Computational Science Research Center and Beihang University (BUAA).
Through evolution, biological systems have utilized mechanical principles and developed functions in diverse and sometimes peculiar ways. Using the same principles and inspired by biological systems, researchers have produced novel and exciting technologies and new strategies to build and control robots to interact with complex environments. In recent years, bio-inspired robots have been playing an increasingly important role to understand the biomechanics of extant and extinct organisms as simplified physical models and testbeds.
The workshop aims to bring together experts on animal locomotion, theoretical and numerical mechanics, and bio-inspired robotics, and facilitate the exchange of new ideas and understanding between different disciplines.
