In this talk, we will give a review of our research on multiscale methods for the problems with some singularities and multi-scale phenomena. We will also show some recent results on the uniform error estimates and applications of our methods.

Prof. Zhongyi Huang received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 1999. His research interests mainly focus on numerical methods for problems with singularities and multi-scale phenomena. He has published more than 40 papers on the top journals in computational mathematics and scientific computing. He obtained the second-grade award of Beijing Science and Technology Award in 2002, the Pieter Hemker Prize from BAIL2008 in 2008, and the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars (国家基金委优秀青年) in 2013.
