On March 19, 2015, a Cooperative Agreement for academic exchange and collaboration was signed between Beijing Computational Science Research Center (CSRC) and Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, France (CEA) in the French Embassy.

Prof. Hai-Qing Lin, the Director of CSRC, and Prof. Jian-Qiang You, the Head of Quantum Physics and Quantum Information Division, CSRC, visit the French Embassy in China. Both parties agreed that the cooperation between CSRC and CEA should focus on statistical mechanics, biophysics, condensed matter physics and relevant fields, in the forms of personnel/information exchange, joint research projects, joint personnel training, etc.

The Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (English: Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission) or CEA, is a French public government-funded research organisation in the areas of energy, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. The CEA maintains a cross-disciplinary culture of engineers and researchers, building on the synergies between fundamental and technological research. CEA was created in 1945. The missions of the CEA are equivalent to those of the United States Department of Energy. It conducts fundamental and applied research into many areas, including the design of nuclear reactors, the manufacturing of integrated circuits, the use of radionucleides for curing illnesses, seismology and tsunami propagation, the safety of computerized systems, etc.
