2016-06-27 09:28

During June 16-18, 2016, the 4th International Workshop on Frontiers in Quantum Optics and Quantum Information: Optomechanics meets circuit QED (QOQI4) was successfully held at Beijing Computational Science Research Center.

The main objective of this workshop is to stimulate the interaction between the fields of superconducting circuits and optomechanics, which share many conceptual goals and methodologies, as well as overlap significantly in their physical implementations. The workshop has brought together the leading scientists in these two fields to present both theoretical and experimental aspects of these fields, with a strong emphasis on the most cutting-edge experimental progresses.

Over 180 participants attended this international meeting, including Prof. Andrew Cleland from the University of Chicago, Prof. Luming Duan from the University of Michigan, Prof. Franco Nori from RIKEN and Prof. Haohua Wang from Zhejiang University.

During the three-day workshop, 24 invited talks were given and more than 35 posters were exhibited. This workshop successfully provided an academic platform for discussing important issues in quantum optics and quantum information.
