On July 2016, a new Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Beijing Computational Science Research Center (CSRC) and University of Waterloo, Canada.

Both parties agreed to explore possibilities for cooperation in education and research, in the forms of joint research activities, exchange of teaching and research documentation, exchange of visiting faculty members and postdoctoral fellows and so on.

The University of Waterloo was established in 1957, is a public research university with a main campus located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The university offers academic programs administered by six faculties and ten faculty-based schools. Waterloo is a member of the U15, a group of research-intensive universities in Canada. University of Waterloo is most famous for its cooperative education (co-op) programs, which allow the students to integrate their education with applicable work experiences.
